When I was 25, I thought I was on my way to having it all. I was a top salesman in my company, married, and making good money. One day, when I was on stage receiving an award for my hard work, I thought, “Is this what all of this was for!?” The reality was I felt empty and lost. I was in debt, overweight, and my relationships were suffering. At that moment, I knew I had to make a change.
I started getting my health in order, went back to church, and naturally, my family life started getting back on track. I then made it my mission to figure out what wealthy people did, and my financial habits shifted. The problem was I was still in the same job and feeling unfulfilled.
So, ten days before my second child was born, and despite being on track to make 1 million dollars, I quit and started my own business. I finally realized real estate's true power is financial freedom to do more of what matters to you.
